Quick lunch ..Peas Prawn Fried rice recipe

Some times, when you really want some good food for lunch and you have short span of time in your hand .Then I think frozen vegetables helps you lot.Many at times I have used this assorted veggies from my freezer containing peas,broccolis,corns ,carrots.And my dear husband who takes his quick walk from his office, all the way..thats 20 mins..to come home ,sweet home to have his lunch.Thats how I discovered this new recipe..I had some king prawns in the freezer and some frozen green peas..And there I came up with this Peas prawn fried rice..



Ingredients


1 cup soaked Basmati rice
300g King Prawns peeled and cooked
200g Peas
1 Onion
2tsp Garlic paste
1 tspGinger Paste
2 tsp Pepper
2 Green chillies
100ml Cooking oil
1 Bay leaf
2 Cloves
2 Cardamoms

Procedure:

First cook the soaked Basmati rice to its right proportion,make sure they dont get over boiled..if so wash it under cold water.Then keep it aside

For the Mix


  • Heat the oil in kadai or in a large sauce pan,to it add the spices such as bay leaf ,cloves and cardatmom.

  • Add the onion which is cut into small pieces into the oil till they become soft and to it add ginger garlic paste and mix well.

  • Now you shall add the King prawns followed by green chillies and pepper.When the prawns begin to shrink with in 3min, add the green peas and salt .Mix well

  • Now Mix the rice into this mixture,and heat it for 1min.And thats it hot Peas prawn fried rice ready.

You can add soya sauce for more chinese style or eggs for more taste.You can have it with curd raita or some potato chips,or any sabji or bhajii too...
